Saturday during the day there will be: Agrarian demonstrations, with draft horses and stock dog, wagon rides, three-legged races, pig kissing contest with live prizes, and many other surprises Saturday evening begins with a big barbeque feast on home grown, pasture-fed pork or chicken then a Big Ball with live period music and a dance mistress to boot. The term Southern Cross can also refer to the blue saltire as used in various flags of the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War.
